Aerial view

View from plane approaching from the northeast. Wooded ridge is to right of and above the house.

Dark "clump" immediately to right of the house is trees on slight slope approaching the base of the ridge.
What appears to be a dam is the lane from the main road to the house, where the lane ends.
The lane runs between a six acre pond and an upstream marsh (top center).

Welcome to SCHMIDT "FARM" NOTES. My website chronicles the happenings here on
Lovers Lane, West Glenville in the Town of Glenville, Schenectady County, NY, USA.
The primary "Notes" sections of the site are: Weather; Horticulture; Wildlife; Wildlife Pictures and
monthly summaries of the weather data compiled by the Albany, NY National Weather Service (NWS).
In addition, there is a section devoted to describing "The Farm," one of pictures of the property,
one devoted to the dogs, and one to an historical account of the origin of the bugle call "Taps.

Sections of the website are below. Click a title to move to it.
All the "Notes" pages up to June 2009 were brought here from a previous website.
