sunny morning; increasing overcast in afternoon; hard to believe high temperature after a chill low!

1-6-07: Yesterday, 1/5, NWS hi=58@2400{farm=54.3@2400}, lo=49@0433{farm=36.6@0100}. No sunshine; light rain before 0900 and then again 1700-2300= 0.40"; really wild high temps and time; big difference in lows.

1-7-07: Yesterday, 1/6, NWS hi=71@1344{farm=67.6@1300}, lo=44@2400{farm=40.5@2400}. 28% PPS; rain before 0700; hi temp record at Albany for the date; all over the northeast, too. Pond & marsh totally unfrozn
Cold front came thru just after 1300. Temp dropped 12 deg. in an hour. Dark sky for a while, too, with wind.
Today, 1/7, 30 year 'nornal' daily average temperature at Albany, NY, National Weather Service (NWS) station reached its lowest point of the year at 22 deg. F. No change for a while. In comaprison, today, 1-7-2007, = 43.

1-8-07: Yesterday, 1/7, NWS hi=47@1505{farm=43.4@1300}, lo=39@0821{farm=35.8@0500}. 77% of possible sunshine (PPS); sunny until mid-afternoon; rain began between 2200 and 2300.

1-9-07: Yesterday, 1/8, NWS hi=47@1442{farm=45.3@1200}, lo=35@2400{farm=32.1@2400}. 16% PPS; rain most of the morning and a fast shower late afternoon; some sun late with clearing; rain= 0.75".

1-10-07: Yesterday, 1/9, NWS hi=40@1417{farm=36.2@1300}, lo=29@2354{farm=26.5@0800}. 22% PPS; some sun early; then clouded over; some sun again 1600-1700.

1-11-07: Yesterday, 1/10, NWS hi=30@1436{farm=27.4@1200}, lo=19@2355{farm=17.1@2400}. 67% PPS but more sunshine, I believe, at the farm; a true winter day; clear, blue sky; very windy from west; cold in open.

1-12-07:Yesterday, 1/11, NWS hi=34@2322{farm=30.0@2400}, lo=13@0532{farm=13.4@0600}. 18% of possible sunshine (PPS); real cold start to the day, but it warmed up steadily all day into the night;  overcast.

1-13-07: Yesterday, 1/12, NWS hi=45@2240{farm=34.6@1500}, lo=33@0320{farm=28.1@0400}. Zero % of possible sunshine; dusting of snow from before dawn to 0900; heavy overcast all day.  Note big diff in hi temps!

1-14-07: Yesterday, 1/13, NWS hi=44@0823{farm=43.1@1100},lo=27@2400{farm=24.6@2200}. Again, zero percent  of possible sunshine; rain in morning; dark, heavy sky all day; temperature dropped steadily after the hi

1-15-07: Yesterday, 1/14, NWS hi=32@xxxx{farm=31.2@1800}, lo=26@xxxx{farm=24.0@0300}.No sunshine very light freezing rain from before dawn continued all day into evening; little build-up, however, and fortunately!

1-16-07: Yesterday, 1/15, NWS hi=38@2400{farm=33.3@1500}, lo=25@0418{farm=24.4@0500}. Zero PPS; freezing rain continued from 1/14 through the night and until noon; everything covered with ice but no damage.

overcast morning; sunny afternoon with dropping temp. & windy; cold night ahead!; vegetation ice covered.

1-18-07: Yesterday,  1/17, NWS  hi=19@1443{farm=13.6@xxxx}, lo=3@0746{farm=minus 1.3@xxxx}. 47% of possible sunshine (PPS); coldest AM thus far; not windy, thankfully!

1-19-07: Yesterday, 1/18, NWS hi=35@1727{farm=29.6@1600}, lo=12@0049{farm=8.1@0400}. 47% PPS; not too bada day; cold and sunny morning; 'warm' and cloudy afternoon. Today, 1/19, in 1971, all-time low
temperature set at Albany NWS station at the airport with minus 28 F. No log for temp. at "The Farm."

1-20-07: Yesterday,  1/19, NWS hi=37@1300{farm=31.1@1400}, lo=24@0716{farm=23.5@0800}. PPS not available; quite decent day; very windy in the late morning and through the afternoon.

1-21-07: Yesterday, 1-20, NWS hi=     . 76% PPS; 2" snow before dawn; very windy with a little nore snow in AM; sunny; real winter day.

1-22-07: Yesterday, 1/21, NWS hi=20@1613{farm= 16.2@1600}, lo=6{farm= 0.2@0800}. Unknown PPS but high; sunny and COLD.

1-23-07: Yesterday, 1/22,  NWS hi=23@1614{farm=19.2@1300}, lo=15@0727{farm=12.1@0800}. 7% of possible sunshine (PPS); 1" of snow before dawn; overcast; chill day.

1-24-07: Yesterday, 1/23, NWS hi=30@xxx{farm=27.4@1600}, lo=11@xxx{farm=13.6@0800}. 63 % of possible sunshine (PPS); somewhat cold early morning; warmed up nicely into the afternoon; sunny then, too.

1-25-07: Yesterday, 1/24, NWS hi=34@1452{farm=32.2@1300}, lo=17@0257{farm=13.7@2400}.44% of possible sunshine (PPS); sunny morning; clouded over in the afternoon; temperatures a bit above "normal."
